Most U.K. buyers favor scrappage incentives, says SMMT

More than three quarters of United Kingdom consumers want a scrappage incentive to boost new-car sales, according to a survey by the country's automotive association.
Some 76 percent of British consumers want a scrappage scheme similar to those in other European countries, says the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
